The founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy is already an influential personality in the US, thanks to his popular Barstool Sports podcasts. Regularly anchored by known personalities that account for its extensive viewership, the podcast never fails to provide fans with the latest deets. However, it seems Portnoy is on the quest for the next best thing. And he recently talked about it and said how he wants to expand the Barstool’s entourage with former NBA stars Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. He is even willing to make a huge sacrifice for the same, as he claimed on his social media handle.

Dave Portnoy is clear about his vision involving Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett

Recently, Dave Portnoy took to his Twitter handle @stoolpresidente to share a video featuring former NBA stars Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Portnoy captioned it as, “My bi monthly post saying I’d give my left arm to have these guys on Barstool Network.” The clip depicted a heated conversation between the stars as they discussed top NBA players.

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were seen starting a debate on whether LeBron James is still among the top 5 players in NBA today. For Paul Pierce, though LeBron James is still his biggest rival, he didn’t seem too thrilled to name LeBron in the top five. Instead, he funnily snubbed James to take the names of five players who would take over the iconic basketball player. “Luka Doncic, The Joker, Embiid, Giannis, and Tatum. Shut up. Please stop with this nonsense,” Pierce exclaimed in the clip.

But Kevin Garnett did not agree with Paul Pierce’s opinion and vehemently dismissed it. “You’re a cupcake. You talking that goofy s**t. We talking about Bron. […] N***a 38 doing this!,” Garnett exclaimed. The conversation that ensued definitely seems to be of Dave Portnoy’s liking as he knows the duo making it to his network would definitely do wonders.

Paul Pierce clarifies his opinion on LeBron James

Over his contentious statements about LeBron James’ top-5 position, Paul Pierce further clarified that he was discussing only today’s NBA. He said that even though James has been an exceptional player across his entire life, the Lakers stars will be overtaken by a few players.

“Those guys aren’t greater than Bron all the time. I’m saying top five today. We’re not talking about body of work,” Pierce replied back to Garnett. “Man get this man a LeBron jersey real quick so you can put it on” he further added. That’s definitely an interesting converstion!
