Nuss and Kloth register a flawless beach volleyball win

The duo of Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth has been making headlines ever since they teamed up together. The pair faced Brazil in the round of 16 to advance to the quarter-finals. While Brazilian beach volleyball players Agatha and Rebecca were well-prepped for the face-off, Kloth and Nuss reduced them to shreds. The Brazilians failed to hold off the mighty offense of the Americans.

Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth heavily defeated their Brazilian counterparts and didn’t allow them a moment’s rest. The US duo continuously mounted pressure on their opponents which made them commit error after error. In fact, while the attacking of Kloth and Nuss yielded 29 points, the Brazilian side conceded 15 points via errors. The American women bagged a clean sweep against Brazil as they dispatched them for 2-0.

The pair had overpowered the Canadian beach volleyball team in a similar fashion and earned a clean sweep over them as well. Another women’s duo from the US, Kelly Cheng, and Sara Hughes also pressured the defense of their opponents. However, they also showed some elegant defense to dominate the beach volleyball team of Latvia.

Cheng and Hughes fired on both ends against Latvia

Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes displayed a quite well-rounded and balanced gameplay compared to Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth. While Cheng and Hughes also pressured their rivals with sheer attack power, they also scored points via blocks. The Latvian opposition yielded 14 points owing to errors and also had their kills blocked four times. The duo also scored points off service aces and received no answer for five of their services.
