Chloe Kim Reveals She Hid a Major Head Injury at Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 Finals

After more than two weeks of amazing performances from world-class players, the Beijing Winter Olympics has come to an end. For some players, the Olympics brought great joy and proud moments, while for some it was not what they expected it to be. But with all the victories, disappointments, and controversies, it was a blockbuster tournament.

The American champion snowboarder, Chloe Kim, won her second consecutive Olympic gold at Beijing in the women’s halfpipe event and became the first female snowboarder to defend her title in the Olympics. She was filled with joy as she recreated the winning moment. It was as if the hard work really paid off for her in the end. Kim said, “I worked so hard for four years to get back here and do this again.”

Chloe Kim suffered a concussion in the third run

After coming back from Beijing, the gold medalist featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show and talked about her Olympic experience. The 21-year-old snowboarder was sporting her gold medal, while also talking about her super bowl experience. She said,I landed and I went straight to the super bowl, but I left before it ended.”

While the host, Kelly Clarkson, assumed that she might have left the game because of the jet lag, Chloe revealed that she had a concussion. She said,I also had a concussion… it was super fun, the game, but at the end I was like, ‘no, I got to go.'” However, the concussion wasn’t because of the super bowl game but it happened during the third run at the Beijing Olympics, as revealed by Chloe.

In the end, she said, “It’s all good though.”

While the snowboarding legend, Shaun White, bid farewell to the sport, another American snowboarder is in the making of a legend. 21-year-old Chloe Kim became the first female snowboarder to defend her gold medal at the Winter Olympics. She was always the favorite going into the competition and performing with sheer brilliance, she showed why.

Now that Shaun has retired, Chloe could be the one filling in his shoes as the next American snowboarding legend. She is just 21, and she is already in her prime, performing at the highest level.

Only time will tell how many more gold medals Chloe Kim will win for Team USA at the future Olympics.
