The Russian team finished at the top in the team event. Hence, the medal ceremony was denied to all the winners.
On the controversy, Nathan Chen said, “I feel bad for my team, honestly. We competed clean, we’ve done everything we could to be at the Olympics and we skated so well at the Olympics in the team event.”
He further added, “I feel that we deserve the opportunity to share a moment together at the Olympics and get our medal. And that was obviously taken away from us so I feel for the rest of my team and know how deserving they are.”
