What is next for Nathan Chen?

It is valid to ask Nathan Chen, who won the gold medal at the Beijing Winter Olympics with his stunning performance if he is going to ‘chill out’ a little now?

This is precisely what Chen answered, giving an insight into everything that will follow now for the champion. “We’ll be going to the Stars on Ice tour,” Nathan Chen shared on the show.

Chen will be a part of the Stars on Ice tour with the rest of the U.S. Olympic Team. “It’s a lot of fun, (it’s) time for us to celebrate the success that we’ve had over the past couple (of) seasons,” Nathan expressed.

The Stars on Ice is an annual tour through the United States, showcasing the top medal contenders and U.S. champions. Furthermore, Nathan Chen will headline the event, following his golden victory at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Following his Stars on Ice tour, Nathan Chen will get back to his education. “After that, (I’ll) go back to school,” he said. Chen is a Yalie, and he enrolled in 2018.

The Olympic gold medalist is pursuing a Statistics and Data Science major at Yale.

As a student at Yale, Chen is a resident of Jonathan Edwards College. Owing to the Beijing Winter Olympics, he has been on a leave of absence since last year.

Thus, he plans on returning to his campus in the fall, around the month of September. Chen had admitted that he missed being on the campus physically.

Despite traveling across the world, Chen does ensure that he carries his textbooks with him. Hence, he studies for his course wherever he goes and whenever he gets the time.

However, for Nathan, it doesn’t hold a candle to being there in person. For Chen, sitting by himself in his room with his books “doesn’t feel the same”. In that vein, he is very “excited to go back and keep learning”.
