Many people have wondered whether Mikaela Shiffrin is in a relationship with anyone, and if so, who. Here’s everything you need to know about Mikaela’s boyfriend, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde.

Who is Aleksander Aamodt Kilde?

Mikaela Shiffrin‘s boyfriend is Norwegian alpine ski racer Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. Like Shiffrin, he, too, is an Olympian. Moreover, he was with her at the Beijing Winter Olympics as well, representing Norway.

Kilde won a bronze as well as a silver medal at the Winter Olympics 2022. He won the first medal, a bronze, after finishing third in the men’s super-G final. Then, he secured the silver medal in the men’s combined slalom event.

Aleksander Kilde is also a Junior World giant slalom champion. Kilde took to skiing at six years old. It was only natural, considering his family grew up next to a ski hill, and he ended up following after his elder brother Andreas.

However, he wasn’t always just a ski racer. Not many people know that Aleksander Aamodt Kilde also used to play football. But, after realizing he needed to focus on just one sport, he chose alpine skiing.

Initially, there was certainly some lack of understanding, as Mikaela had thought she was being playful. On the other hand, Kilde understood it as a rejection.

Nevertheless, the two remained amicable toward each other. Sadly, in 2021, Mikaela Shiffrin lost her father, and at the same time, Kilde suffered from a season-ending injury.
