However, maintaining that physique has not always been easy for the legend. Knowing about the hardships, the legend thus took a stand for Shawn Rhoden when the latter was criticized for his appearance in the 2019 Pittsburgh Pro event.

Ronnie made his point clear
When Shawn Rhoden went for the Guest Posing at the Pittsburgh Pro event, the fans were disheartened to see their favorite bodybuilder was not in his best shape. The fans quickly criticized the 2018 Mr. Olympia champion for his oversized appearance and out-of-shape body. In an MD exclusive interview, the King was asked for his opinion to get Ronnie’s reaction on the whole affair.

Taking a stand for him when the bodybuilding champ commented, “I was always out of shape.” For the unversed, Coleman also took part in the Pittsburgh Pro event and followed a diet for it. Drawing a parallel between his days at bodybuilding and the present timing, Ronnie made it clear that back in the early 2000′ the whole idea of “guest posing” was not relevant.

Talking about the bygone days, he said, “Back in those days, nobody judged anybody by how you looked at a guest posing. We didn’t have that social media either.” The star also highlights how, in today’s time, everything gets posted on social media in just a few minutes.

Ronnie brutally replied, “nobody looks in shape.” Unimpressed by their physique, Ronnie further adds, “nobody looks like they’ve been on a diet.” He even adds that if they were to compete with him or any of his contemporaries, then they would hold no grounds. Except for Phil Heath, Ronnie Coleman remained quite dissatisfied with the new generation in the said interview.
