“I Am Sick of This Narrative”: CrossFit Icon Snubs at Haters Passing Judgement on Women Lifters

Dani Elle Speegle is a massive CrossFit icon and an extremely popular social media influencer. Speegle has been in the field since childhood and began professionally as a CrossFit athlete in 2015. Since then, she has grown enormously and is one of the best in the business. Recently, Dani Speegle called out the haters who pass opinions on women powerlifters through her latest Instagram post.

Speegle realized the pushback women bodybuilders or weightlifters get, because of their muscular bodies, when she received a hate message from an unknown follower.

The NBC Titan Games, 2020 champion, inspires millions of fans through her social media posts. She posts about her workouts, diets, and much more, which gives her followers a path to follow. Moreover, she stands for herself and anything she feels strongly about, just like she did now. An unknown follower messaged her, “Please leave women the way they are, lift your weights if it makes u fulfilled. Women should not lift heavy weights, we need them Curvy not muscular.”

She gave a scathing reply to this person. Speegle posted a reel with her achievements and her videos of heavy lifting. Moreover, she captioned it as, “Well you and any other man who thinks this way can kiss my strong, curvy ass 😘😘🖕🏼 I’m so sick of this narrative. I’m done hearing that women can’t be strong AND beautiful. I’m done hearing that women can’t be muscular AND feminine. I’m done hearing that women can’t be powerful AND sexy.”

She continued, “I’m done hearing that women can’t be athletic AND intelligent. I’m done hearing that women can’t have successful careers AND an amazing family life. Simply put, I’m done hearing that women…can’t.” However, she wasn’t alone in the fight against the trolls. In addition, she had a force of her followers supporting her in her powerful message.

As she raised her voice against the person who gave his unsolicited opinion, her followers came in support of her. The trolling happened once again; however, this time it was the other way around.

“It’s 2023, and men are still out here thinking women exist solely to please them…”

“He’s probably sitting on the sofa eating a bag of Cheetos crying for his mom to turn the thermostat up”
