Katherine Schwarzenegger is best known as a best-selling author from her first published book, Rock What You’ve Got, and recently released book Good Night, Sister. But Katherine, being a celeb kid, has faced identity crises from time to time. However, her mother has a piece of advice for her persistent insecurity.

As Maria Shriver belonged to a privileged family herself, she has experienced the feeling her daughter goes through. In a phone interview with The New York Times, Maria Shriver opened up about the advice that she tells her daughter. She said, “I tell her all the time that when I started out in the news business, everybody thought, ‘Oh my god, you’ll never survive. You’re only here because of your name.'” She continued, “And 40-some years later, I’m still working, and nobody I started out with is still there, practically.”

Katherine opens up about how Arnold and Maria spend time with her daughters and adores those moments. After telling a few anecdotes of her daughters with her grandparents, she followed them with a wish for herself. She stated, “I know this sounds crazy, but I really would love to just do exactly what they did.”

Maria Shriver has been a pillar of support to her daughter and has passed on her life lessons to her. Katherine, on the other hand, has gotten much-needed guidance from her mother.
