Jay Cutler couldn’t make a choice

Earlier in October, Jay Cutler joined Fouad Abiad for the Legion watch party broadcast. On the call, Ben Chow and famous coach Iain Valliere were also present, which lasted for nearly 4 hours and 10 minutes, and the four men discussed the upcoming competition too.

Talking about who he wants to win the title, Cutler said that it is hard for him to choose. “It’s hard to pick who I want to be Mr. Olympia because the top 10 is stellar this year. The top 20 too,” he said. He shared his opinion on who he thinks would be among the top three finalists. “You know, I would have to agree with a lot of the publicity out there that the top three will remain the same,” he added. Coming on to the top three, Jay explained that he couldn’t completely agree with the opinion of the masses that Big Ramy will win this year too.

While Ramy may be in his best shape, Brandon Curry’s progress shouldn’t be ignored. Brandon has stood in the second spot for the last two years, while Ramy won the title. However, Brandon’s improvement in the 2022 Arnold Classic, which he won, hasn’t gone unnoticed. “You gotta remember, the last few years it’s been Ramy and Brandon. So, it’s really hard to count him out. I know he didn’t look 100 percent at the Arnold, but I mean, I just saw pictures of how he looked when I was coming back from the UK. He’s massive right now. He’s still got the shape but I think this may be close — if not his last,” Cutler said.

Who are the strongest contenders for the year’s most-awaited bodybuilding competition?

Just like Jay said, this year’s list is full of incredible bodybuilders. However, there are still some who look like they have a higher chance of winning than others. The one closest to the title is the reigning champion Big Ramy. Ramy won the little for the last two seasons and has continued to maintain his form throughout the year.

Next up is the runner-up for the last two years and the winner of 2019, Brandon Curry. Based on Curry’s stats and the progress he has shown this year, he might be closer to the title than Ramy or anyone else might think. Another one is the rising star Michal Krizo. Krizo has recently made the cut for the contest by winning the 2022 Amateur Olympia. With that, he has been consistently moving forward. While he might have an exceptionally big arm, he still needs some improvement in terms of his back.
