Arnold Schwarzenegger thought Caitlyn was the ideal candidate
The run to get elected as the next governor of California was in the latter half of 2021. And, as a previous holder of the office, Arnold was hopeful the run for that year would be tough, with 100 hopefuls in the least. He compared this number to his own time, stating how there were around 150 candidates back then. And on being asked who, according to him, would be a good candidate, he replied with Caitlyn Jenner’s name.

The reason for this surprising choice? Arnold answered, “I think the thing Caitlyn knows for sure is the changes she wants to make — because she made some really big changes.” Added to this fact, Jenner also had a clear vision for this sort of role, thought Schwarzenegger.

But, even though he and Jenner are “good friends,” it didn’t matter who won the race. Arnold thought if they had a vision regarding “…where you want to go, what are the kind of changes you want to make and why are you qualified to become governor,” it was good enough.

Does Caitlyn have any political affiliations?
In a byte Caitlyn gave to People magazine back in 2021, she considered herself a part conservative and part progressive. She did contest for the republicans in the 2021 elections at Arnold’s request. Still, she never thought of herself as one of the republicans.

Caitlyn has always been a highly debated figure, following her remark on how transwomen should not participate in female sports. Whether she will be back with more political actions or not is for the future to reveal.
