“Too Busy Showing Off…”: Serena Williams Billionaire Husband Indirectly Threw Shade at Mark Zuckerberg Using Friend Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2018

Arnold Schwarzenegger cemented his position as a legendary personality across several fields. Besides, the former bodybuilding champion is renowned for his opinions on matters of importance. Reddit, co-founder and tennis legend, Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, once pointed out Schwarzenegger’s unintentional deed that woke up the media houses to cover a significant event.

Reddit is a social media platform to share content embracing one’s original self. On the other hand, the usual practice on Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook entails people exhibiting only the perfect side of their lives. In connection with this, Ohanian narrated a scenario in 2017 which went viral on Reddit. Interestingly, Arnold’s participation in the discussion added wings to it.

The internet entrepreneur is unapologetically honest with his perspectives on the content trends in social media. In a 2017 Keynote address at World Z, Ohanian shared how Reddit is making a difference in sharing true life stories. He shared about an embarrassing scene in the gym. “Now, this is the exact kind of story you’ll never find on Facebook, you’ll never find anywhere else on social because we’re all too busy trying to show off how great are perfect lives are,” he said.

A person lifted a dumbbell and dropped it on their foot. An incident such as this is usually not posted on social media. However, the person shared it on Reddit. The Terminator actor showed up and wrote words of encouragement. Moreover, he appreciated making an effort to go to the gym. “You should be proud. Don’t be embarrassed.”

Furthermore, Schwarzenegger’s response to the post made it viral and got covered on all major platforms. “It showed up on Facebook 12 hours later,” Ohanian said. That said, he pointed out the lack of space in the $37 billion worth of Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook for sharing incidents like these.

Ohanian is a huge fan of Schwarzenegger

Ohanian expressed his admiration for the former governor of California on several occasions. Recently, he took to his Instagram story to acknowledge the Austrian Oak’s Christmas video gift he posted on his Insta handle.

Ohanian highlighted the influence of Schwarzenegger’s active participation in motivating people to pursue their bodybuilding goals.
