“I mean this year they are doing breakdancing. So I mean if you want, I… I mean I can work on some moves, get out there,” Fallon stated. The NBCLA host Colleen Williams too put her fine humor on display, remarking “You’re close to the podium. You’re very close.” In admiration for Williams’s quick wits, Fallon too had a laugh at himself.

For the uninitiated, breakdancing will make its way for the first time in the Summer Olympics in Paris. As per the Olympics official site, the event will comprise 16 boys and 16 girls who will compete in their individual categories for both men and women. The athletes will adjust their moves to the beats of the DJs, trying their best to improvise and impress the judges.
As for Jimmy Fallon, he will be co-hosting NBC Universal’s coverage of the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics alongside Mike Tirico as per the Washington Examiner. Not only that, celebrities, namely Snoop Dogg, Kelly Clarkson, and Peyton Manning will also feature in the coverage. While Snoop Dogg will provide man-on-the-street interviews, Manning and Clarkson will cover the opening ceremony. Hopefully, they too just like Fallon would have decided their favorite sport. Well, while speaking of Fallon, this isn’t the first time that he has shown interest in break dancing.

9 years ago on the Tonight Show, Fallon was seen exhausted by his work when he decided to play a peppy number and dance to its tune. From the opposite end, he was joined by Brad Pitt and the two had an impromptu competition. Fallon, through his moves, had a conversation with Pitt, and the latter responded with his unique moves.
Hopefully, now that Fallon has once again shown an inclination towards breaking, the event will be watched all over the USA. And Fallon, too much like his performance 9 years ago, might show his splendid moves in a snippet while hosting the closing ceremony. At least his fans will be wishing for the same. Which event would you participate in if you had a chance, do let us know in the comments below.
