Watch: 22-Year-Old Bull Riding Star Achieves Triumph on World Champion Bull

There are many rising and falling stars in the bull riding industry. Unfortunately, not every cowboy has a good ending; in fact, some may perish while engaging in this dangerous sport. However, the ones who manage to overcome these massive bulls become cowboys to look out for the fans. These cowboys often become World Champion prospects such, as the 22-year-old Cassio Dias. The 2022 PBR Brazil Champion debuted his American bull riding career back in 2022 but wasn’t successful. However, he got back this 2024 Unleash The Beast season, and apparently he resides at the top of the standings.

Everyone in the rodeo arena and throughout the world was taken aback by the cowboy’s recent accomplishment. It wasn’t easy, but the 22-year-old pulled it off when the footage of him dominating the World Champion Bull Ridin’ Solo went viral.

A bull riding feat to remember

Express Ranches PBR Tulsa was the site of Cassio Dias’ remarkable triumph. The online public took notice of this accomplishment once it was posted to PBR’s official YouTube channel. Every ride in the 2024 UTB season is important for Dias to maintain his advantage over the other cowboys, since he is currently the UTB standings’ leader. The stakes were high, but Dias summoned his inner cowboy as he was about to mount Ridin’ Solo, a World Champion Bull that had destroyed many rodeo stars’ dreams and bones in the past.

Ridin’ Solo wasted no time in bucking after the metal chutes were removed. But Dias was having none of it as he cowboy-styled the enormous bull. As the time ticked beyond seven seconds, Dias seemed to be struggling atop the bull owing to its massive bucking force; nevertheless, he was immediately flung off the animal as the eight-second buzzer sounded. Even though the judges were unsure about him, Shawn Ramirez, who was in charge of the replay, quickly verified that the ride had been successful. Scoring a 90.75 on a World Champion Bull was an honor for the Brazilian cowboy, as he extended the lead in the world championship standings.

The updated UTB standings for the 2024 season

As we approach May’s finals in the 2024 UTB season, the rankings seem to be very competitive. Cassio Dias of Brazil is at the front of the pack with 656.50 points, good for an average of 87.32. With 533.50 points, American cowboy Austin Richardson takes second place currently. Even if the distance between the top two might appear huge to the new bull riding fans, it just takes one event to change it all.

Third place in the standings goes to Brazilian cowboy Eduardo Aparecido with 280.50 points, followed closely by American cowboy Dalton Kasel with 279.50 points. These cowboys have a long way to go until the finals in May; however, all the events leading up to the major one will definitely catch rodeo lovers’ attention due to the competitive spirit of the PBR cowboys.
