Bull Riding scene cheers for newest champion

Austin Richardson beat his rivals in an exciting race, including then top-ranked rider, Cassio Dias of São Francisco de Sales, Brazil. Celebrating his win, PBR shared a mid-action shot of Richardson on Instagram with the caption, “A lot can happen in a New York minute including a new No. 1 rider in the world.” PBR also calls it Richardson’s “first career Major victory” in their online feature.

The champion asserted his dominance in Round 1, riding to an impressive 88 points, defeating Moonlight Party. Securing 86.75 points atop Bangarang in Round 2, Richardson extended his winning streak. Despite a loss to The Undertaker in Round 3, his prior performances secured him a spot in the final round. Persisting with a re-ride during the final round paid off handsomely as he clinched his second event victory with an 83.5-point ride on Moonlight Party, matching the bull jump-for-jump.

Along with taking home an enormous $118,650, Richardson’s win earned him 210 vital Unleash The Beast points. After which he surged to the top of the Unleash The Beast rankings and is currently leading the close competition for the PBR World Championship by only 20 points. It is a career-defining victory for Richardson which will leave a lasting impression in the eyes of spectators.
