The only way to win at chess if we do not take time into consideration is to checkmate your opponent. Well, how about you use 100% of your brain and play without a king? If there’ll be no king, your opponent cannot checkmate you no matter what gambit or tricks they try. You may think, a chess game without a king? Who would even dare to play such a game? Or is it even possible in the first place?

Even though Checkers is played on the same board of 64 light and dark-colored squares, it’s a completely different game. Instead of chess pieces, it has 24 discs (12 of each color) and you can only keep your pieces on dark squares. Just like in chess, two players compete in checkers as well and the goal is to win as many opponent pieces as possible.

The game ends when a player cannot make a move, which is possible in two ways; all the pieces of a player are captured, or all the pieces of a player are blocked from moving.
