The total prize pool of the 2023 Tour de France was worth more than $2.7 million, and out of this, Vingegaard was awarded more than $550,000 for his win.

If his total winnings are taken into consideration, then Vingegaard has earned more than $590,000 for his 21-stage performance. The whopping amount given to the players involves individuals who make it to the top 20, and there are various other entitlements that are awarded to the finishers along with the winning amounts. The additional amount won by Vingegaard came from leading the pack of cyclists for 16 days, which earned him General Classification and also got him additional prize money of more than $500.

Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia secured the second position and took home an amount of more than $220,000. Adam Yates, who had also secured a first position in the first stage of the championship, secured a third position and was rewarded with an amount of more than $110,000. Rather than these two, every finisher from 20th place to 160th place receives an amount of more than $1100. As far as the entitled winners are concerned, the Green Jersey and Mountain Jersey winners receive an amount of more than $27,000, and the best young rider is rewarded with an amount of more than $22,000.
