Lance Armstrong is one of the most successful figures in the history of sports, whose journey was filled with ups and downs. Armstrong accomplished everything that a cyclist could achieve over the course of his decades-long career. Apart from achieving everything, he was surrounded by the doping controversy that resulted in his being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles. He is again in the news for his differences of opinion with fellow participants on the Stars on Mars reality show. Recently, he participated in this celebrity reality show where contestants had to be a part of a simulation of being an astronaut on Mars. In this game, celebrities have to form bonds with each other while completing the quests thrown at them.

Armstrong was paired with American actress Ariel Winter, and they indulged in a war of words quite a few times. Ultimately, he decided to walk out of the show in a recent episode. Now one of his fellow contestants has shared his views on this controversy and shared an amusing post on social media.

Adam Rippon, the American figure skater who is known for winning the US National Championships in 2016, has shared a picture on his Instagram story. The still features Rippon along with Modern Family’s famed actress, Ariel Winter. In this picture, Winter can be seen sitting on a chair, and “me: I don’t like drama” is written over her still, while Rippon can be spotted standing beside her, eating something with a smile on his face, and “also me whenever there’s drama” is written above his picture. He laughed at this meme and captioned the post in the same manner.

Rippon shares a great bond with Winter in the show, and their camaraderie is loved by the audience. He supported Winter on various occasions, as he did during the spat with Armstrong. Armstrong was not having a good time on the show with his fellow contestants because of his varied viewpoints on trans-athletes. This is where his differences with Winter, Tanishe, and Rippon Started, for which he also threatened to leave the show in the previous episodes as well. After his exit, he clarified why he left the show midway.

Lance Armstrong clears the air

Talking about his decision, Armstrong stated he was having a hard time adjusting to the others from the beginning of the show. He also added that this decision will be beneficial for the whole crew, and it was an honor to be a part of the show. He has decided to exit the project, as he did not want to be a liability on the show.

More so, he also added that 12 individuals cannot coexist in the same place, especially when they have no idea about each other. He ended his run in the show by concluding, “It’s been a he*l of an honor, but I have decided to exit the project.” Lance Armstrong’s journey in the Stars on Mars reality show was one of twists and turns. While his differences with fellow participants like Ariel Winter caused a stir, the show itself became a microcosm of human dynamics.
