It appears that the question of transgender athletes’ eligibility has become a universal matter. Joining in the argument now is the British track and field athlete Ellie Baker, who shared some firm opinions on the matter.

The 24-year-old British runner recently came fourth in the European championship and her future in track and field looks quite promising. Given that it was her first senior championship, she has performed remarkably well.

After Lia Thomas, the outrage on transgender athletes continues

While Lia Thomas’ controversy was still on, here comes another one. However, this time the discussion involves a British transgender cyclist, Emily Bridges. The 21-year-0ld cyclist will compete against the five-time Olympic champion Laura Kenny, in the National Omnium Championships this Saturday. But many athletes, including Ellie Baker, have shown distress over the competition.

Ellie posted the news on her Twitter handle, saying, “How this has been allowed to happen is just ridiculous. I would refuse to race and hope that the other women would stand with me on this too. This is totally unfair. The advantages a trans women has had from going through puberty as a boy to a man can never been undone.”
