If there’s one thing that all Americans love along with football, that’s following the tradition. And if the two coincide with each other, things become all the more titillating. Like every year, this year’s Army-Navy game drew a lot of attention from fans all over the country. The 124th edition of the game was hosted at the Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts, and the Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy played a pivotal role.
Portnoy isn’t having a great time. He recently had to bear massive financial losses, thanks to misplaced wagers on the Duke Blue Devils and the Cincinnati Bengals. However, this year’s Army-Navy game had to offer some redeeming points for the Patriots fan by giving Portnoy a chance to take center stage.

The West Point cadets took the game 17-11 after a thrilling last-moment score. And yet, the Michigan team is well on its way to claiming yet another Big Ten title. Amidst such a condition, Portnoy can’t help but sneer at the Wolverines’ foes, who he believes only are stuttering to bog down Michigan with bureaucracy because of their ability to match their legacy.
