The execution of new technology in the horse racing world

Looking after the safety of the horses is one of the most important things that needs to be looked after. Keeneland on this is doing a great job. Keeping the safety of the horses their first priority, they are betting on new safety technology called “Stride Safe”. This initiation of Keeneland should be looked upon by various other equestrian venues for their horses.

According to WLWT, this technology assists in examining an equine’s movement with a small sensor present under its saddle. This has a great feature of identifying if the horse has any kind of wounds or is facing any kind of abnormalities while running. The main aim of this initiative is to reduce the injury or death rate in the horse racing community. With the opening day for the fall racing season in Keeneland, they have introduced this technology to the community. Apart from the races to be held this season, the authorities are excited about the execution of this new technology.

This is no doubt a very beautiful step taken by the authorities of Keeneland. They are extremely hopeful and confident about this technology to work for the good. An attendee stated, “Watching people watch the horses and get excited as the horses they bet on get closer to the end, to the finish, so we’re super excited just to see people’s reactions.”

Equine specialists like Dr. Stuart Brown, the vice president of Equine Safety, is very excited to get started with this new update at Keeneland. He expressed, “It gives us the ability to sort of monitor the movement of the horse and to be able to be in a position to analyze how they’re doing when they’re perform here at Keeneland.”

Dr. Brown also stated that he and everybody at this venue will never think twice when it comes to the safety of the racehorses. This technology is the ideal way to understand every difficulty or discomfort the horse is facing.
