This 6-year-old mare is a descendant of Carpe Diem and out of the Tapit mare Quay.

The young mare ran by, stretching her advantage to as much as three lengths. But then, the unexpected occurred, which shook her rider. A sudden halt in her momentum left the entire field puzzled. Race commentator Matt Dinerman couldn’t hide his confusion as Morning Addiction’s baffling drop back. This dilly-dally made him fall among the trailing horses. ?I don’t know what happened there,? said a perplexed track announcer Matt Dinerman.
