The horse racing community cannot forget a good race. Recently it has witnessed one of the most nail-biting yet exciting races at the Golden Gate Fields. After the closure of Bay Meadows racetrack, this is the only major Thoroughbred racetrack in Northern California. Owned by The Stronach Group, this racetrack gave the horse racing lovers something to remember.

Recently, the favorite equine Primrose Ridge attained her first win of the seasonings race 5. It was a very tight race, and the curiosity to witness who would win the race made it extremely exciting. Here is the wider view of one of the most exciting races in the equestrian realm.

An exciting race at the Golden Gates Field witnessed by the horse racing world

On the 25th of September 2023, Primrose Ridge took home her first win at race 5. She deserved this win with her tremendous performance on the field. Ridge is a 3-year-old Bay Filly, trained by S Callaghan and her performance here was commendable. She gave one of the best races to watch to the spectators. The Wagering website TVG shared an appreciation post for the horse on their Twitter account.

They shared a video with a clip of the race where the top 3 were making their way to the finish line and Rose gracefully took the lead. The caption to the post carried, “#6 Primrose Ridge ($4) takes home her first win of the seasonings race 5 at Golden Gate. Good call from @Peterlurievo on this daughter of Aclaim.”

The view of all the horses trying their best to nab the win is an absolutely mesmerizing view. The other contenders also gave their best performances to shine bright in the race, but Primrose was faster than everybody else that day.

The other performances at the Race 5

The race started with Smiling Molly at the lead and following it was Golden Prayer, and following the pair was Primrose. All of them were a length and a half in front of little Liliana off the pace with Canam Gal and Sky Makers at the rear. Eventually, leaving everyone behind, the race came down to Molly, Prayer, and Ridge as the top three.

Among these three, at the lead was Golden Prayer, but Ridge again took her pace crossed the finish line first with a 6/5 run, and won a prize money of $19,530.00. Following her was Smiling Molly grabbing the second position with an 11/4 run and taking home $6,200.00. The third was Golden Prayer, with an 11/2 run with prize money of $3,100. Canam Gal, Little Liliana, Sky Maker, and Gentle Julis attained the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh positions respectively.
