Sand and Spurs Equestrian Park have gained love from the community for its amenities and caring abilities. With 35 stalls, including both city-owned and privately owned, it caters to the needs of a horse better than most. It is situated in the heart of Pompano Beach, being the only Equestrian Park with top-notch facilities. 

Recently, the Equestrian Park had to go through some adverse situations. For the stakeholders and the horse owners, a sharp rock hit their head, leaving everyone in a great dilemma. The city was on the verge of cutting funding for Sand and Spurs when something unusual happened. Just when the need of the moment was to safeguard the park, some unexpected messiahs leaped to the rescue.

Local Community saves the Equestrian Park from collapsing

Where the animals live in harmony, the local community couldn’t help themselves to get involved. For so many reasons, Sand and Spurs have served its best service, healing, nurturing the visitors as well.

The Vice Mayor and former City Commissioner stated, It’s a gem in this city. Not every city has a horse farm”. Acknowledging the fact that the Park blessed the east side of the city with its therapeutic elements. According to a house owner, the Park situated in the middle of the city can recharge weary souls to a great extent. 

With the local community joining hands to invest in the rescue operation, the city commission budget meeting is impending next week. Crossing fingers and hoping to revive their favorite Sand and Spurs, the horse lovers are awaiting a brighter day.

Sand and Spurs treating ailing hearts

One visitor said that horses provide the best therapy than any human can. Their incredible ability to tap into a person’s heartbeat is phenomenal. Admitting the fact that horses are natural healers, the visitor added that syncing heartbeats with them brings ultimate peace. While talking about the expected fate of the Equestrian Park, one visitor said, “I would be crushed.” “I would feel like someone just took my life support system away from me.”

All adore the rarity of the park, since the city is becoming a concrete jungle, with nothing green left. With the emotions overflowing and people visiting to heal their ailing selves, it makes sense why the community banded together.

The city commission will provide a draft of the total money needed, while the community is counting on their fates. Only time will tell what the future holds for the park.
