Jamie Lynn wanted to know why Dettori took his time to retire from horse racing in spite of making an early announcement. The jockey walked her through his thoughts, saying, “Right, this is my last year, going to say my last goodbyes.” However, there was more left for him to accomplish. I’m A Celebrity shared a small clip from their interaction on X with the post that read, “Frankie reveals his retirement regret to Jamie Lynn”. During the short conversation, the otherwise tight-lipped Frankie Dettori appeared in a chatty avatar.

He said, “Of course, like in any sport, when you’re at top level the margins are so small. It’s a bit like Formula 1. Why is one driver faster than the other when they’ve got the same cars?” This way, he explained the thrill and further said, “I was born in racing, my dad was a jockey. I was practically born on a horse really. Then I had good teachers… the rest is history”. Here on the conversation took a more somber turn as Frankie Dettori revealed his deepest regret concerning his retirement.
