Nayel Nassar is known for his graceful equestrian performances on horseback. The Egyptian equestrian jumper has also represented his country at the Tokyo Olympics. Despite his skill and experience, Nassar had never attempted a six-bar jump before.

However, Nassar is an ambitious rider just like his wife Jennifer Gates. The 32-year-old didn’t back away from the challenge and sped towards a maiden attempt atop his beloved horse.

Nassar conquers a new equestrian height with Evergate Stables horse

Nayel Nassar began his equestrian journey at the age of five. After the young Chicago-born rider got well-versed with horses, he started leaning towards jumping at the age of ten. The accomplished equestrian jumper dazzled everyone as he reached several FEI World Cup finals in 2013, 2014, and 2017. In fact, he also made it to the finals of the FEI World Equestrian Games in 2014. His unrelenting pursuits also led him to win several contests like the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup. His other wins include the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Del Mar, New York Masters CSI5 Grand Prix, and many more.

The equestrian jumper rode atop the Evergate Stables horse Jiminy Cricket. The two share a loving bond and Nassar chose the horse for his maiden six-bar attempt. The pair raced and jumped over several obstacles before finally making their way to the dreaded hurdle. To the amazement of equestrian fans, Nassar completed the 1.85m jump. The Evergate Stables shared the pictures on their Instagram handle. The post carried the caption, “@nayelnassar & Jiminy Cricket jumped their first ever six bar competition together. Completing the 1.85m height, and tying for 5th!” The Olympian thoroughly enjoyed the experience despite not coming to the top, as his wife, Jennifer Gates, applauded him.

Nassar’s endless love for equestrian sports brought him close to Jennifer Gates. The duo dated for five years and got married in 2021. They also recently welcomed a baby girl in March 2023. Jennifer Gates and Nassar support each other through their endeavors and Nassar’s six-bar jump was one of them. Despite it being his first time, Nassar jumped over the obstacle with the staunch support of his wife.

While Nassar may not have won the race, he performed well enough for his first attempt and finished fifth. The loss didn’t deter the support he received from Jennifer Gates. In fact, Bill Gates’ daughter cheered for him as hard as she did when Nassar won the Hampton Classic. Jennifer and Nassar competed together in the Hampton Classic and had an amazing time. Nassar even stood first in the event and gained a fabulous prize of $78,000. The two are the best cheerleaders for one another.
