Therefore, a social media post recently went viral for showcasing an announcement of the upcoming 135th Rose Parade. The post detailed a list of the participating equestrians and equines for the gorgeous and stunning parade.

The Rose Parade covers a stretch of five and a half miles and features several equestrian displays. The people minutely choose the horses and their riders to welcome a brand new year and celebrate it with joy. This year, the selection committee began shortlisting equestrian candidates for the event on 8th September. Hence, a social media post recently announced the completion of the royal selection procedure and instantly caught fire on the web. The Facebook post displayed glimpses of the magnificent parade in a video that lasted over a minute. The gorgeous video garnered over 41,000 views and 106 ecstatic comments. The caption of the post said, “Announcing the Equestrian units marching in the 135th Rose Parade presented by Honda on Monday, January 1, 2024.” 

It further announced the selection of 18 equestrian units to welcome 2024, presented by Honda. “The 18 Equestrian units will showcase a variety of horse breeds, exceptional skills, and unique costumes,” revealed the post. The annual event has been a part of local culture since 1890 and incorporates unique themes every year, per sources.

The Rose Parade organizes the Rose Queen and royal court, which are particular customs held as part of the annual event. The Pasadena Tournament of Roses parade marches on New Year’s Day annually. However, in case the occasion falls on a Sunday, it takes place the following day, that is, on the 2nd of January. In the 135th version of the parade, the spectators shall witness a blend of intriguing themes. 

“Celebrating a World of Music” with horses

The equestrian units chosen for the 2024 iteration of Tournament of Roses guarantee a unique mix of beauty and skill. Interestingly, the 2024 parade is themed “Celebrating a World of Musics,” per sources. Three units will be making maiden appearances in the grand event and will include police horses and award-winning cowgirls. The equestrian teams are known for leaving an indelible image on the minds of spectators. Moreover, the outstanding lineups will complement the floats and bands that will march down Colorado Boulevard, on 1st January 2024.

The selected equestrian units will also get the privilege to take part in the Equifest before the main showdown. Organizers will hold the fest on 29th December at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. In fact, the fest involves a meet and greet session between riders and a chance to display their skills and talents. Additionally, a recent update on the potential Equestrian market expansion simply adds to the enthusiasm of the community.
