Equestrian estates embody elegance, wealth, and luxury, offering a glimpse into a world of refined living. Yet, even these prestigious properties sometimes find themselves up for sale. This is often due to factors like maintenance costs, neglect, or the need to relocate. Recently, the spotlight fell on the sale of a notable Connecticut equestrian estate, previously owned by the ex-wife of iconic fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger.

With an expansive 20-acre expanse, the estate fetched a price far below its original listing value. Originally acquired during the couple’s marriage, it became the sole possession of Susie Hilfiger following their divorce. The sale of this esteemed property resulted in a staggering financial loss of $15,000,000 for Tommy Hilfiger’s former spouse.

Equestrian estate sale showcases changing dynamics in lifestyles

Susie recently sold her equestrian estate, Denbigh Farm, in Greenwich, Connecticut. The 20-acre property, initially listed for $40 million, sold for $15 million, as reported by Daily Mail UK. Susie’s decision to sell the estate was driven by her desire to relocate. She wanted to the West Coast where her children reside. Denbigh Farm was purchased for $8.5 million during her marriage to Tommy Hilfiger. It happened in 1995 and the estate became solely owned by Susie after their 2000 divorce.
