The Remington Park in Oklahoma was a crowded place on Sunday. The day was scheduled to hold a prestigious race meet, for which participants from all over the area gathered at the racetrack. The race was a Grade 3 $200,000 Remington Park Oaks, held annually around the same time. This year was no different, with many prominent equestrian jockeys and trainers trying their luck.

This year, Honor D Lady claimed the graded stakes race for three-year-old fillies, creating an upset in the eight-horse race. The Final Furlong Farm and Madaket Stables-owned filly had produced a formidable show at the dirt track and overcame its nearest adversaries in the final stage, shocking the equestrian world.

Equestrian jockey’s winning experience on Honor D Lady

Tyler Conner had never ridden Honor D Lady before, so he had no idea what to expect from the three-year-old filly. He asked the trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. a few hours before the race about her to have an idea. The trainer asked him to keep the filly’s face clean as she didn’t like the dirt coming at her face. They informed Connor that the filly tends to be lazy sometimes, but once he was in the race, the competitors closed by her. The filly’s attitude was different and responded to his call in the stretch. Connor got confident in her in the final stage and his confidence paid off.
