The equestrian world is humming in the hangover of the FEI Awards Gala. This prestigious ceremony was held in Mexico City’s Colegio de la Vizcainas and was presented by Longines. The function is celebrated to honor the international and native winners amidst four categories of equestrian excellence.

Multiple equestrian stars were awarded with well-deserved recognitions based on their stellar performances. One of the awards that turned heads was the Longines FEI Rising Star Award. This was awarded to the USA’s young equestrian Mimi Gochman.

Equestrian Mimi Gochman shared her thoughts after the win

The FEI Rising Star Award is given to extraordinary equestrian talent who belong between the ages of 14-21. Mimi Gochman, the 19-year-old equestrian resides in New York and has already made her mark in the equestrian community with her stellar skills. She has been a part of three senior FEI Jumping Nation Cups teams.

This outstanding budding equestrian was awarded the Longines FEI Rising Star Award by the Longines’ event manager Michael Vuilleumier. He gave her a mesmerizing, elegant timepiece from the FEI’s top partner. After coming down from the podium, Gochman expressed her feelings about this remarkable win.?

She thinks that this recognition can be a great opportunity for her. From meeting new people to facing new experiences, she attained a lot of benefits here. With this, she portrayed gratitude towards the people who have had her back ever since she stepped into the equestrian community.

The down-to-earth 19-year-old girl after receiving a big honor like the FEI Rising award was grateful for all the people who played a major role in her life. She stated, “A huge, huge thank you to my mom and dad. They are amazing, and I wouldn’t be here without them”.?Adding to this, she also thanked her trainer and her team for this special honor.

While receiving the award at the podium, she in her speech stated, “Winning the Longines FEI Rising Star Award is an extreme honor and I’m super grateful to be here”.?Along with her, another athlete Jessica von Bredow-Werndl who is one of the best Dressage athletes won the Peden Bloodstock FWI Best Athlete Award. Emma Uusi-Simola also attained the Cavalor FEI Best Groom Award. It was a night full of talent and overwhelming emotions.
