At the same time, a 27-year-old Brazilian rider Jo?o Victor Marcari Oliva displayed excellent skills on behalf of Team Brazil. Together with Feel Good VO, Oliva scored incredible results of 78.612% coming second only. Moreover, he stood up for himself thus contributing to the country?s victory of its first-ever pan am dressage team silver medal.

From mentorship to international success

Recently, Christian Simonson reshared a post of Victor who was riding the horse and wearing a black helmet but what was surprising was his jersey, which was in blue colour. At the age of six years, Christian Simmons was being coached by people such as Gail Hoff Carmona and Jan Ebeling who are legends in Dressage. Among his accolades are many gold and silver medals from major events such as the Adequan/FEI NAYC. He flourished under Adrienne Lyle?s guidance and earned top horses and YR Team bronze in Hagen, Germany, historically.

Team USA leads day one at the equestrian Pan American Games

Team USA was the first to become leaders in dressage at their participation in the Pan American Games 2023 in Quillota, Chile, and after day one. However, superb equestrianism by Jo?o Victor of Brazil on Feel Good VO outclassed Canadian equestrians and placed Brazil onto the 2nd step towards the next round of contestation. Team standings were close but the US was ahead at 224.338; Brazil at 221.151 and Canada took the bronze position at 214.277

Overwhelmed with surprise, Marcari thanked his team for supporting him while not forgetting that he was representing his country. Silva de Oliveira expressed gratitude for being able to represent Brazil and went on to describe how he had started out with a modest background until he worked extremely hard to achieve what he was presenting.
