Christian Simonson congratulates fellow equestrian

Christian Simonson has been trained by some legendary equestrians, and he is surely on the path to becoming one. He has won triple Gold medals in the FEI YR Team and also was the 2021 US Young Rider Champion. Additionally, Simonson is a true upholder of the spirit game as well, expressing time-to-time support to fellow athletes.

Simonson recently uploaded an Instagram story and congratulated the whole USA and fellow equestrian star Mimi Gochman in particular for her incredible performances. “Huge Congratulations @mimi.gochman. Excited to see ya all kill this season“, he wrote. Gochman was selected for the FEI Rising Star Award 2023 through public voting. The 19-year-old has been on a roll this year, impressing everyone with her brilliant performances.

Gochman has competed in the three Senior Nations cups till now. She has recorded a couple of top 10 placings at the CSI5* level and has deservedly been chosen for the award. While Simonson is known for his great equestrian spirit, he recently shone brightly at the 2023 Pan American Games.

Simonson?s Pan-American heroics

The 21-year-old Christian Simonson was pivotal in the U.S. dressage team’s gold triumph at the 2023 Pan American games. While helping his team secure the gold medal, Simonson also broke his personal best score in the Intermediate-I with a 74.971% performance. He was riding the 2012 Danish Warmblood gelding and controlled him perfectly.

The other combinations of Anna Marek, Harrison, and Tubman were also brilliant. The U.S.A. eventually secured the gold medal with a score of 459.670 followed by Brazil with a silver medal with a score of 443.343. With this impressive performance, the U.S. Dressage team also booked their place at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
