Jessica Springsteen, the daughter of the well-known American figure Bruce Springsteen, has kept the equestrian world on its toes. Boasting an illustrious career, she is the proud owner of an Olympic silver medal and various Grand Prix titles. But the current CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix is not about her.

Taking place before Christmas and during the first Advent weekend, the iconic Sweden International Horse Show concluded on December 3. Drawing enthusiasts and participants from all corners, this event showcased five equestrian disciplines. Among the recent highlights was the winner of the CSI4* Grand Prix, notably catching attention, especially as the daughter of Springsteen.

Equestrian Jessica Springsteen raises toast to celebrate Andersson’s win

Having started riding at the age of 3, Petronella Andersson debuted at a Sweden Championship at the age of 10. Fast forward to now, her recent Grand Prix win has Jessica Springsteen drinking to her success after the show. According to the latter’s story, she capped off a video of clinking glasses saying, “The winner”. It looked like the 31-year-old took Andersson out on a success dinner date.

Several others, including the World of Show Jumping’s Instagram page, poured love over the 33-year-old rider. Several ‘congratulations’ notes surfaced, paired with her winning moment video, where she waved at the audience from the podium. To accolade her more, there was a graphical firework display on the backdrop.

But the one who received more appreciations was Andersson’s 9-year-old magical equine Odina Van Klapscheut. Without Klapscheut’s expertise at the Friends Arena, Petronella wouldn’t have had the victory. Also, special credits to Stephex Stables which has been playing a pivotal role to help the equestrian evolve as a rider since 2013.

This time, the 33-year-old’s performance was nothing short of magical.

Andersson and Odina’s remarkable win

Bvba Mivaro-bred Odina is an offspring of I Am Moerhoeve’s Star and Landor S. When the 9-year-old set its sight on the trophy this time, the rider alerted herself as well. And a phenomenal display followed. The star duo finished scoring a 36.68, leaving Harrie Smolders and Deesse de Kerglenn in second and Peder Fredicson and Hansson WL in third.

After the show, Andersson expressed her ecstasy, saying, “My horse was fantastic, she really had my back today. And the crowd has been unreal all week, so it was great to give them back a Swedish victory”.
