Bill Gates’ Equestrian Daughter Jennifer Gates Declares Challenge After Completing ‘First’ CSI3*

The 2024 Winter  Equestrian Festival (WEF) recently wrapped up its sixth week of events at Wellington International in Wellington, Florida. WEF 2024 which commenced on January 3rd is here to offer equestrian fans altogether 13 weeks of thrilling competition. The WEF 6 – KASK CSI3* USEF 6* – Premier “AA” USHJA/WCHR SPECTACULAR, took place from February 14-18, 2024. Witnessing the participation of various hunter, jumper, equitation, and schooling classes with varying skill levels and age groups, it was indeed a spectacle.

Well-known equestrian star Jennifer Gates Nassar, daughter of Bill Gates, and her husband Nayel Nassar of Evergate Stables, participated in WEF 6 to cover significant milestones. Competing for coveted titles, they took to their Instagram to celebrate the recent victories, while eyeing the forthcoming weeks.

Celebrating WEF 6 triumphs

The official Instagram handle of Evergate Stables, handled by Jennifer Gates and Nayal Nassar, posted glimpses from WEF 6, aboard their horses. The caption specifically highlights their notable victories in the week that recently concluded. Jennifer Gates Nassar and her mount Donvier completed their first CSI3* event, which was noteworthy.


Meanwhile, Nayel Nassar showcased his skills with top finishes in the CSI3* division aboard Ivory and Igor. He has now established his dominance in WEF with his triumph. Adding to the team’s success, Philip McGuane, the rider at Evergate Stables, secured his first CSI3* victory with a remarkable debut performance onboard Edgard.

The caption further mentions, “We are officially halfway through WEF 2024, and are just getting started!💪 #teamevergatestables.” Jennifer Gates and Co. from Evergate Stables are eyeing more notable milestones in the upcoming weeks, on-route to the championship after the return of the WCHR Hunter Spectacular during Week Six.

Getting ready for the second half of WEF 2024

With 12 weeks of WEF competition featuring FEI classes, four weeks highlight CSI5* competition. The participants are vying for the much coveted $500,000 Rolex Grand Prix CSI5* during Week Twelve. Not only this, the competition also includes the U25 Grand Prix Series across the circuit, with the WEF Equitation Championship in week 11.

The WEF season spans from January to March, with top-tier show jumping and hunter events. Culminating in the WEF 12 competition at the end of March, Jennifer Gates is ready to push herself with more zest for the other half of this season to showcase her extraordinary horsemanship.

The seventh week of the WEF is scheduled to take place from February 20th to February 25th.
