The Nation Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) is an equestrian welfare focuses on the integrity of thoroughbred horses. It focuses on all the aspects of equine matters, their health, safety, sanity, medication, identification, unwanted horses, and their sales integrity. NTRA also releases a poll for three-year-old thoroughbred horses according to the results of covering racing competition conducted.

The hierarchy ranks on the poll depict the horse of the year according to their performance in various competitions. Recently, the American champion thoroughbred horse climbed up to the top third position in this NTRA poll. The 3-year-old filly defeated the Grade I winner Clairiere in Grade II Shuvee to climb up the NTRA poll.

Filly Nest’s Equestrian Shuvee race at Saratoga

Three days ago, the Filly Nest made a comeback in Grade 2 after her nine-month layoff. Her comeback was certainly aplomb winning  $200,000 for her Hall Of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher. Nest even missed the Grade 1 race, but her strong comeback made it all up. Nest’s co-owner said, “More than worth the wait.” According to the Paulick Report, Nest won by 2 1/4  lengths over the multiple-time G1 winner Clairiere.

Filly Nest’s equestrian expressed his delight to see her comeback and instant victory and said, “I’m super proud of the filly. She’s all class and it’s nice to see her come back and get back on track. We got a bit of a delayed start, but she showed she’s still in top-class form.” After the voting was conducted by the National Media on 23rd July, Nest came up to the third position by descending Clairiere to the sixth position. Who else is on the top 10 list?

The top poll represents the horse of the year with the maximum votes by the national media. Cody’s Wish is in the first position with multiple Grade 1 wins. He was also unbeaten in two starts of the year. With 346 points and 31 votes, Cody stays in first place. The second rank is secured by the American thoroughbred horse ‘Elite Power. Then comes the favorite Filly Nest, who is followed by West Will Power, Up To The Mark, Clairiere, Caravel, Defunded, In Italian, and Goodnight Olive on top 10th position.

One of Nest’s jockeys said “ She finished good. She finished great,” commending her epic comeback. Her trainers, and jockeys are very proud of this unbelievable performance of Nest. Her powerful race dropped Clairiere to the sixth position. However, fans are hoping Nest to reach the top 1 position soon with her incredible equestrian performance.
