The power couple tied the knot 2 years ago on October 16th. But their doting story goes back a couple of years and more; celebrating love.

Nayel Nassar and Jennifer Gates’ story dates back to 2017 when Nayel shared the first picture of the two together. Though the exact circumstances of the first encounter remain unknown, fans speculate it was the commonalities the two shared: Stanford and equestrian sport. Today, as the two alumnae returned to their nostalgic ground at the University, Jennifer Gates shared the moment online.

On the 22nd, Jenn took to her Instagram story to share a selfie of Nayel and her together. As Nayel sported a Stanford hoodie, Jennifer rested her head on the equestrian’s shoulder; smiling for the camera with each of their university IDs. “5 and 10 years later,” Jennifer captioned the story. The two were on the grounds of Stanford attending a carnival to celebrate the University’s 60th anniversary.

Nayel graduated from Stanford back in 2013 with a degree in economics, and Jenn earned her degree in Human Biology in 2018. The couple since recorded their own path – Nayel primarily in show jumping and Jenn juggling medicine and the sport. Nonetheless, the duo has reigned triumphant in holding up their relationship.

The equestrian couple stands 2-year strong

On October 16th, 2021, Jennifer Gates and Nayel Nassar tied the knot at their farm in Westchester County, New York. Fast forward two years and the couple stands accomplished in their field while co-parenting their 7-month-old daughter, Leila. “2 years, which somehow simultaneously feels like a lifetime ago and yesterday. 10.16.21,” Jennifer captioned for their anniversary post. Following the post, Jennifer also took the leverage to share a series of pictures of the two on her Instagram story, wooing the fans. 

But that wasn’t all that made the recent news for the couple. On the 15th, Nayel Nassar dominated the night at the Tyron International CSI 4* Grand Prix event. Nayel, for the evening, became the athlete with the only double clear round. Keeping up with the victory, Jennifer stood no behind either. The equestrian earned a bronze the next day in the High Jr/Am Jumpers. With the recent celebrations, the influential personalities continue to inspire and set an example.
