After a busy two months since the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, it’ll be a figure skating homecoming for the Olympic champion Nathan Chen. He had a great time on the Stars On Ice Japan Tour, and now it’s time to entertain the home fans. Nathan is excited about performing in front of the home audience, along with his fellow team members.

Victory in the Beijing Winter Olympics followed great attention for Nathan Chen and for quite a while he was the most wanted sports celebrity in the country. However, just at the eleventh hour of the World Figure Skating Championship in France, he pulled out because of an injury. Since he missed the world championships, the Stars on Ice Tour will be his chance to make it up to the fans.

Nathan Chen is back as ‘Rocketman’

As the tour reaches Orlando, Nathan is ready to mesmerize everyone once again with his insane tricks on Elton John’s ‘Rocketman.’ It’s the same score that got him a gold medal in Beijing and he is excited to relive the glorious moment. About his song choice for the Olympic performance, he said, “I knew it was going to be great for me.”

As for performing with the team, Nathan further added, “We’re all so excited to have the opportunity to perform again. All the skaters have done so much work for the Olympic season. Now we have the opportunity to come together as a team and do all these things together. We become part of a larger family.”

Besides Nathan Chen, the event will feature the Olympic bronze medalist Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue; considering retirement after the event. Furthermore, Madison Chock and Evan Bates, ice dancers Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier, Vincent Zhou, and Karen Chen will also be taking part in the event.
