David Beckham is one of the most adored sports celebrities around the globe. However, over the years, his status has been more than just a football player. Today, he is more of a British cultural icon. Hence, to live up to his standards, he had to gift something special to his son- and daughter-in-law at their wedding. But after giving them a very expensive gift, he got the feeling of regret over it.
The 47-year-old David Beckham has led an incredible career and the list of his achievements goes on and on. During his career, people knew him for his bending free kicks and ridiculously long passing techniques. He is amongst the top football players of the century who not only dominated the game but also became a larger-than-sports image.

David Beckham regrets his actions
David gave his son, Brooklyn, and daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz a lavish wedding gift. It was a 1954 Jaguar that had been converted into an electric car and the vintage piece was worth £400,000. In fact, he himself drove the XK140 to the ceremony and his wife Victoria handed the newlyweds the keys. Their wedding took place at Nicola’s family estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

However, on Victoria’s 48th birthday, David shared a story on his Instagram handle and wrote, “Should have kept this car, it’s soooo good. @lunazdesign, please make me one. Happy birthday mama, @victoriabeckham.”

Clearly, the former British footballer was in the love with the car and a part of him wants the car for himself as well.
Brilliant work by Lunaz
It took 120 people to convert and restore Jaguar XK140 into an electric car at electrification company Lunaz. They did a wonderful job in restoring such an amazing vintage car. It was a perfect gift for Brooklyn and Nicola on their special day. However, maybe Brooklyn can lend the car to David sometimes so that he doesn’t crave to drive it.
