2-time state wrestling champion and former football player Seth Littrell is all set to represent his alma mater Oklahoma Sooners football team. Littrell has historic ties with the team, and his journey back to Oklahoma is resonating deeply with the fans. Preparing for the Alamo Bowl with the Oklahoma Sooners, Littrell is all set to carve his niche as the coach. He is ready to train Sooners’ offensive prowess.

Littrell’s Return to Oklahoma

The Twitter handle of SoonerScoop.com, released a clip featuring Seth Littrell, as he is all set to coach the Oklahoma Sooners. The NCAA Football champion and 2x State Wrestling Champion addition was highlighted in the caption, “Seth Littrell. Oklahoma Guy”. The football coach, aged 45, is going to debut in his role as a quarterback coach and offensive play-caller. Littrell didn’t fall short of expressing his love for Oklahoma during a press conference as he took up the responsibility.

Stating it as his lifelong dream Littrell said, “For me, obviously, being born and raised here (in Oklahoma), my father played here and so that’s all I ever knew growing up,” he said. For this connection, he has been waiting for this moment for long. “This place obviously means everything to me,” Littrell said. “I’ve been trying to get back here for 23 years, and so this is obviously the place I want to be.”

Elaborating on his new position, he continued, “I’m just as much of a fan as I am a coach. I’m a huge fan of Oklahoma. So I have high expectations of this program along with everybody sitting up here and everybody within our program.” Moreover, he concluded with an endearing statement, “I’m just glad to be home.” Interestingly, Littrell is a two-time 5A state wrestling champion for Oklahoma in 189 lbs. However, now he will be gracing the football arena with his new plans.

Seth Littrell’s plan for the Oklahoma Sooners

In the forthcoming Alamo Bowl, OU will take on Arizona at the Alamodome. The interesting matchup will see the 14-ranked Arizona Wildcats and No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners locking horns against each other. According to Littrell, his offense will look a lot like Jeff Lebby’s offense. it’ll be part spread, part air raid, he said.

Littrell has his plans up his sleeve, “The offense that we’re running will stay consistent with what we’ve done throughout the year,” he affirmed. Accordingly, he plans to decide the route after the season and make necessary adjustments to evolve and grow. It remains to be seen how his strategies do wonders for Oklahoma.
