19-Year-Old Suni Lee Shines Again With Her Incredible Form at NCAA Championships

Watching Suni Lee perform is an absolute visual treat. After winning a gold medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics all-round event, the 19-year-old gymnast has also outperformed everyone in the NCAA championship this year. It was Suni Lee whose contribution made sure that Auburn reached the regional finals; A feat the Tigers have been trying to accomplish since 2016.

The Olympic champion has performed five perfect 10s in the season so far. It’s like she has made it a habit of pulling out extraordinary tricks that make her stand out from the rest of the competitors. Speaking of which, Suni has claimed yet another title for the Auburn in the season.

Suni Lee: Regional gymnast of the year

After winning the SEC Freshman of the Year title, Suni Lee has now claimed the WCGA Regional Gymnast of the Year. Keeping in mind her exceptional performance in the NCAA championship this year, the Women’s College Gymnastics Association has awarded her this honor. On Suni’s outstanding achievement, head coach Jeff Graba, said, “Suni has had a fantastic season so far and this award is recognition for what she has done in our region.”

Her exquisite accomplishments this year include seven all-around titles, 10 bars titles, eight beam titles, three-floor titles, and one on vault. Apart from that, Suni is also the first SEC champion for Auburn since 1994.

Suni is eying for Paris Olympics

Even though Suni was a champion at Tokyo Olympics, it became her worst nightmare. Many people, including Suni, believed that her victory was a consequence of Simone Biles withdrawing from the event. It is the same doubt that has been bothering her since the Olympics, and perhaps the only way to get rid of it is to win at the next Olympics.
