The current face of gymnastics, Simone Biles, always finds her way to impress fans. Her versatile and powerful personality adds up to why she is an all-favorite. Renowned American poet and activist Amanda Gorman once took it to pen and page, offering one of the best ways to praise the gymnast. 

The athlete is the recipient of several awards, and one of those is the 2021 InStyle ‘Original’ Award. Apart from receiving the award, Biles was also honored by Amanda Gorman with a wonderful original poem, ‘The Greatest.’

Doing her best in whatever she does has probably become a hobby for Biles. Given her achievements and struggles, being the receiver of the 2021 InStyle ‘Original’ Award is nothing unexpected. 

While paying tribute to Biles might be prideful yet demanding, Amanda Gorman did her job pretty well. The poet presented her with an original poem, ‘The Greatest,’ which contains all the reasons why Biles is the greatest. 

“She is a champion because she never settles for less than the rebel she is,” the poem read. “That is what it means to be Biles bold, a beauty to behold at just 24 years old. She is such a treasure. Her worth measures more than gold.”

Furthermore, Amanda’s poem pinned down the most significant season in the athlete’s life, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Considering mental health as her prime concern, the GOAT stepped down but stood as an inspiration for many.

Amanda’s poem compelled Biles to call her out through an Instagram post. Just like one must have expected, she was left ‘floored’ by the poem. 

“@amandascgorman presented my award with an original poem she made about me and I was just floored. damn she’s AMAZING.” Biles captioned the post.
