Both the original TikTok as well the tweet have garnered much love, with the comment section of both flooding with affirmative messages. So far, the tweet has around 23.7k views. Fisk University came to the limelight with its launch of the HCBU Intercollegiate Gymnastics Program. This resulted from a decision to develop the collegeâs athletic profile. This development would cater to âthe growing interested among student-athletes for an elite HBCU experience.â as was announced by the authorities.

The official website of the University shares further thoughts regarding this decision.â Womanâs gymnastics exemplifies the values of Fisk University: determination, excellence, and a commitment to a more just and equitable future,â Furthur added. âThese values have consistently been at the forefront of womenâs gymnastics, and Fisk could not be more excited to welcome these remarkable student-athletes to the campus starting this coming fall.â
These changes on the mat have been accompanied by changes in the directorial body of the University as well. For example, the college chose Corrine Trevor, the gymnastics team leader, to be their athletic director last July. Such changes are also indicative of the upliftment of their training quality.
What lies in the future for these athletes?Â
College athletes are sure to benefit from these changes soon. The gymnasts will bear their schoolâs banner in five events this fall. But, till then, they are currently practicing at Nashville Gymnastics Training Center. The girls are all set to compete in matches against Division I, II, and III schools.
