As these gymnasts achieve success, some of the top colleges seek their talents to represent their gymnastics teams

Athletes who are signed for razorbacks

The Arkansas gymnastics program has enriched its team with a group of talented new recruits and five standout athletes have signed on to join the team in 2025. These recruits bring a diverse range of experiences and skills to the squad. Head coach Jordyn Wieber expressed her excitement about the signing class, which includes Joscelyn Roberson, Grace Drexler, Ja’Leigh Lang, Sadie Smith, and Julianna Weeks.

Notably, Joscelyn Roberson is a remarkable addition as the first-ever national team member and world champion to compete for the Razorbacks, and Grace Drexler is a 2022 national all-around and floor champion. Each of these gymnasts has a strong background in the sport and is expected to contribute significantly to the growth of Arkansas Gymnastics in NCAA competition.

 Joscelyn Roberson:

The 17-year-old gymnast competes as part of the USA national team and has achieved remarkable success in her career. She holds the title of American vault champion and was a key part of the 2023 World Team champion. In her own words, she expressed her passion for gymnastics earlier this year by saying, “I love doing them because every time I do it, I just can’t believe that I’m doing it.”

Joscelyn Roberson’s journey in gymnastics began in a small local gym, where she initially felt hesitant to discuss a challenging tumbling pass. However, she took a leap of faith and joined Simone Biles‘s family’s new gym. Overcoming her initial apprehensions, she worked with the guidance of her trainers, Laurent and Cecile Landi, and eventually mastered complex routines and exercises.

LSU welcomes stellar new talent

Olivia Dunne has certainly helped to raise the profile of LSU gymnastics, and LSU athletics as a whole. She is one of the most popular college athletes in the country, with over 10 million followers on social media. Her NIL deals have made her the highest-valued women’s college athlete in the United States However, after Olivia, they signed three more gymnastics:

 

Zoe Miller: an American artistic gymnast, competes for the women’s national gymnastics team of the United States. On November 11, 2005, she was born in Hartford, Connecticut. Miller’s powerful uneven bars performance is well-known. She won the uneven bars competition twice in the Winter Cup (2022 and 2023) and won the gold medal in both the team event and the uneven bars at the Pan American Games in 2023. Miller has made a verbal commitment to play collegiate gymnastics for the LSU Tigers.

Kaliya Lincoln:  She is an American artistic gymnast who achieved victory at the 2023 Pan American Games in both the team and floor exercise categories. She has been a prominent member of the United States women’s national gymnastics team. Notably, she participated in the Pan American Games, a prestigious event, and secured a gold medal in 2023, a remarkable feat for someone of her age. She is renowned for her graceful dance moves and powerful tumbling. As a strong contender, she is in the running for an Olympic spot representing the United States in 2024.

Kailin Chio: The American gymnast emerged as a triumphant force on the domestic front in the 2023 Pan American Games, claiming victory in both the team and balance beam categories. Her exceptional talent was evident on the world stage as well, where she earned a bronze medal in the balance beam event at the 2022 World Championships. Her gymnastics journey commenced at the tender age of six, and she has amassed an impressive collection of medals in various disciplines, including a gold in the balance beam at the 2023 Winter Cup. Furthermore, she showcased her prowess at the 2023 Pan American Games, securing yet another gold medal.

Oregon State Gymnastics inks two promising rising stars

Giuliana Fiorillo: Hailing from California, she represents the Airborne Gymnastics Club under the guidance of her coaches, namely Tonya Piacente, Melanie Ruggiero, Cleo Washington, and Melissa Metcalf. In the 2022 USGA Level 10 National Championship, she showcased her skills and earned a notable ninth-place finish in the All-Around category. Her exceptional performance at the 2022 USGA Region competition resulted in her victory on the Uneven Bars, following a second-place finish in both the All-Around and NorCal State Championships. Unfortunately, in 2023, her gymnastics journey was interrupted due to an injury, preventing her from further competition.

Sophia Kaloudis: Kaloudis is a student at Huntington High School in New York and represents the Apex Athletics Gymnastics Club under the guidance of her coaches, Rob Wing and Amanda Depaola. Her dedication and skill have earned her the title of a three-time USGA National Championship qualifier, and she consistently performed impressively, finishing in the Top 10 in all three appearances.

In 2023, she continued her remarkable journey, securing a fifth-place finish in the All-Around category and also clinching fifth place on both the Beam and Floor events at the Level 10 National Championships.

Two young gymnasts join the Gators

Leanne Wong is a Gator gymnast who has made a big impact on the program and the sport of gymnastics as a whole. She is a member of the U.S. women’s national gymnastics team and has won gold medals at the World Championships and the Olympic Games. Lily Bruce: Lily Bruce, a 16-year-old gymnast hailing from Texas, has made a significant mark in the gymnastics world. Notably, she is a 5-star recruit, as recognized by College Gym News. Her achievements include a second-place finish in the uneven bars, a sixth-place finish in the vault, and a ninth-place finish in the all-around category at the 2023 U.S. Development Program – Senior B National Championships. In addition, she secured a third-place finish in the all-around, fourth place in the vault, uneven bars, and floor exercise at the 2022 U.S. Development Program – Junior E. Her remarkable journey started earlier when she became the 2019 Level 10 JO Nationals Junior A vault champion. Jenny, a representative of the Gators, expressed their excitement by saying, “The Gators are thrilled to officially welcome Lily Bruce to our Gator family.

Taylor Clarke’s achievements extend beyond the gymnastics arena, as she is also recognized as a 5-star recruit by College Gym News. Moreover, she showcased her excellence by becoming the 2023 Winter Cup champion on the balancing beam, further solidifying her status as a gymnastics star.

UCLA Gymnastics welcomes three new athletes

Jordan Chiles is an outstanding representative of the UCLA gymnastics program and an inspiration for women’s sports on a broader scale. Her remarkable talent, combined with her business acumen, positions her as a thriving athlete and a beloved role model. Jordan Chiles stands as one of the world’s premier gymnasts, boasting an impressive track record of multiple medal victories at prestigious events such as the World Championships and the Olympic Games. Among her achievements, she clinched a team silver medal and a vault bronze medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Now, after Chiles, they added 3 more young athletes.

Sasha Fujisaka: a gymnast born in California, is a member of Airborne Gymnastics at level 10. Her accomplishments in the sport include not only winning multiple podium finishes in floor exercise but also earning medals on the uneven bars at the 2023 Nationals. Additionally, she has a notable victory under her belt, securing the bars championship in 2021.

The R.C. Rothman UCLA Head Gymnastics Coach, Jannele, expressed her pride and enthusiasm, stating, “I am so proud to welcome Sasha, Macy, and Camryn to the Bruin Family. We are very excited about this class and the impact it will make on the next chapter of our program. Each brings a strong gymnastics skill-set to the team, and their personalities and goals fit right into the culture we have built.”

Macy McGowan: Competing in the Level 10 National Championships on two occasions, this talented gymnast hails from Washington and has consistently performed exceptionally well, consistently placing within the top 10 in gymnastics championships.

Camryn Richardson: is a gymnastic standout known for her remarkable achievements. She clinched the vault championship at the Nationals in both 2021 and 2023, showcasing her extraordinary talent in this discipline. Her coach, McDonald, highlighted her strength in vault and uneven bars, noting the team’s need for added depth in these areas. He also praised her sweet nature and determined spirit, emphasizing her potential to become an integral part of the Bruin Family and make a significant impact on the competition floor when she joins in 2024.

In addition to her national successes, Camryn Richardson demonstrated her excellence by winning the Region 3 all-around and uneven bars titles in 2023. She further solidified her position by finishing second in the vault and third in the floor exercise. At the 2023 State Championships, she continued to shine, taking home the silver medal in bars and the bronze medal in vault.
