MyKayla Skinner, a renowned gymnast from Utah is currently facing a new and significant challenge in her life–motherhood. Recently, she and her husband, Jonas Harmer, celebrated the arrival of their child. However, for the 5-foot-tall Olympic athlete, the journey of pregnancy has been far from glamorous. She encountered several health issues during her pregnancy. That included losing 11 pounds in the first trimester and requiring IV fluids. It also makes multiple late-night trips to the emergency room.

In the video, she said, “Doing the photo shoot just made me like really appreciate the beauty of being a woman and being pregnant and going through this”. The Olympic silver medalist had to have to give up her regular workout routine. Skinner shared her perspective, saying, “With gymnastics, it’s undeniably tough. There are days when you want to quit, but I knew how to push through or that the next day would be better. But during pregnancy, every day was a struggle for months.

Little Lottie has arrived safely

Certainly! The 26-year-old Olympic gymnast and her husband, Jonas Harmer, celebrated the birth of their first child. Their daughter took birth on Thursday, September 21, at 12:42 p.m. Their baby girl weighed 6 lbs., 12 oz., and measured 20 inches long. In their Instagram caption, they introduced their daughter as “Lottie” and shared, “Charlotte Jane Harmer arrived safely yesterday afternoon! Both mother and baby are doing well, and we couldn’t be happier”.

The couple shared their joy on Instagram in a joint post, featuring pictures of them with their newborn at the hospital. In one photo, Skinner and Harmer are seen looking at each other while gently touching their baby girl. Another photo offers a close-up of their daughter, who is holding her dad’s hands.
