The team consisted of gymnasts Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, and Aly Raisman. President Obama attempted to do splits with ‘The Final Five’. President Obama put in a lot of effort and was almost successful in his attempt. While addressing all the athletes, Obama joked about doing a floor routine with Simone Biles. “I want you to know that I was going to do, like, a floor routine on the way out with Simone. But we decided it was a little too crowded,” he said, which left all the attendees in laughter. Interrupting him, his wife, Michelle Obama, gave him a reality check when he hilariously claimed to do a tough gymnastics routine by saying, “And he can’t touch his toes“.

Moreover, it would inspire young Americans as well as generation athletes to work hard and achieve their dreams. The women’s team set an example in front of the whole world, displaying their courage, perseverance, and strength.
