Athleta is a women-based brand that focuses on producing apparel for women. Notably, the company was launched in 2008. Another 8 years later, Athleta launched the “Power of She” campaign in 2016. Over the last couple of years, Athleta developed into a woman-centric multi-brand corporation, the first of its kind.

Allyson Felix was the first sponsored athlete by the company after she left Nike. Soon after, Simone Biles became the second sponsored athlete.

Athleta believes in the power of women. When Allyson Felix had a falling out with Nike and left, it was Athleta she signed up with. Notably, Simone Biles too worked with Nike before. But following Felix’s footsteps, she too signed with Athleta.

Recently, Biles revealed her new product collection with Athleta. This is the first Simone Biles special collection.

“It?s finally happening ? My first official product collection with @athleta,” posted Biles. She also revealed the launch date and time, asking her fans to get ready for the ultimate drop!

Why did Simone choose Athleta?

Biles has herself revealed that she chose Athleta because she connects with their policies and mottos. She believes that the company will help her to bring about the change she wants.
