Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens began chatting through the dating app Raya in the year 2020. While the couple was hesitant to take the next step, Simone’s sister, Adria, brought them closer. Adria made the couple meet for the first time by inviting Jonathan to walk with her and Simone. Simone and Jonathan then dated for almost two years before deciding to marry in 2023. Furthermore, in a Q&A with fans, Simone also spoke in detail about her wedding plans. Simone revealed that she and Jonathan wanted a destination wedding. She also discussed her desire for the marriage to take place on the beach.
Simone said that mostly close friends and relatives would be invited to the wedding, along with some of Simone’s teammates.
