“It’s OK to speak up”- 20-year-old Gymnastics Star Jordan Chiles Sends A Powerful Message for youngsters

American artistic gymnast, Jordan Chiles, has become one of the most celebrated personalities around the globe. From a debutant to becoming a legend, she has been through everything. Chiles had a message to share with the youngsters from the NCAA.
Named after legendary basketball player Michael Jordan, Chiles has managed to win 32 medals in her career. 7 out of the 32 medals have come at the Olympic games.

Olympic Games’ Twitter handle shares video
The Olympic Games’ official Twitter handle shared a video of the gymnast wherein she shares an empowering message.
“Always believe in the power of your dreams because your dreams are very powerful.” The caption of the tweet read. In the video, we can see glimpses of the young gymnast’s career with a voiceover from her in the background. Chiles talks about everyone knowing her life story and becoming an inspiration to the youngsters. “Being able to be an inspiration but also teaching the younger generation that its OK to speak up” and “its OK to do something you love” is what Chiles had to say.

Chiles added, “If this is your passion or your moment, really put your mind to it because it could take you anywhere.”
Jordan Chiles considered leaving the Sport
After finishing 11th in the national championship in 2018, Chiles thought of leaving the sport. “I guess this sport is coming to an end for me because things just aren’t working out for me at all whatsoever,” said Chiles, “I just wanted to finish high school and go off to college. But then I had a talk with Simone.”
Considered one of the greatest gymnasts in the world, Simone Biles immediately got close to Chiles and they developed a great bond. It was after this that Chiles started really loving gymnastics.
With her current reach and platform, Chiles wants to inspire young gymnasts and the NCAA to keep growing and reach newer heights.
