Simone replied, “It’s a different language for me completely, like if I started speaking gymnastics to you, you would have no idea
. So when people speak money to me, I am like, tell me if I am broke or not.”
After this, Carter asked Simone when was the first time she earned a money prize? Simone replied that she earned her first big amount when she was 12. She told Carter that the first thing she did with the check was the down payment of her new home.
