For any LSU Tigers fan right now, it’s understandable if the celebrations don’t end very soon. Winning their first NCAA Gymnastics Championship title for the first time in program history, Jay Clark’s athletes are having the time of their lives. While Olivia Dunne couldn’t have asked for a better culmination of her time with the Tigers, her close ones can’t get over the fact that she has been a driving force in LSU’s latest recognition in the national circuit.
In Julz’s recent Snapchat story, the younger Dunne sister can be seen throwing Mardi Gras beads from the LSU bus as Clark’s women and coaching staff celebrate the NCAA title win. Olivia’s pitch finds the perfect target as Julz catches the beads after asking for one to be thrown in her direction. Captioned “throwing dimes“, the short clip shows the Dunnes sharing a special sibling moment amidst the cheering crowds.
Livvy’s sister Julz has remained a constant support in her little sibling’s journey as one of the nation’s most celebrated gymnasts. And with the Tigers taking to the streets to share their honor with their fans, the Dunne sisters had a special moment among themselves to keep the age-old tradition alive.

Another story from the series shows other LSU gymnasts following the Louisiana tradition to help the fans feel the glee of seeing the national title coming to Baton Rouge. Considering all the unexpected stunts the Tigers have managed to pull off in one single season, fans would argue the ecstatic cheers are justified, and Julz isn’t one to take in the emphatic atmosphere either.
Olivia Dunne & Co. met with a hearty welcome
Julz was one of the earliest people who took to the streets to welcome the Tigers as they returned home flaunting the NCAA Championship trophy from their open-top squad bus. With some spare time on her hands, Julz did everything to keep her busy. Julz shared another image from the front of LSU’s Pete Maravich Assembly Center where a larger-than-life-sized NCAA replica adorned the streets, reminding everyone of the latest and grandest feat of the program so far. The float was decorated with purple and golden colors and Dunne and her teammates couldn’t hold back on their vocal happiness from all the love pouring out on them from the Louisiana fans.
Julz also shared the Tigers’ big flex from the year: the SEC and NCAA titles both emitting radiant lights side by side inside LSU’s trophy cabinet. While Livvy didn’t make it to the team on their big night in the finals, her presence was always felt in the arena. Now that her final year with LSU is finally over, it waits to be seen how Julz continues to be a significant person in her sister’s next chapter in life.
